At Out of Bounds Berridale Pizza we are all about taking the time to get things right. As crazy as it sounds, we begin your pizza days before we get your order!
To produce the special artisan dough on which your pizza is cooked, we employ a rigorous process of slow fermentation, under controlled temperature. This is quite a labour-intensive process, but the results speak for themselves.
From there we blend fresh tomatoes and oven-roasted garlic into sauces that, when spread over your pizza, come together to form a base that is unrivalled.
When topped with our fresh, locally sourced ingredients, your pizza is placed into our woodfired oven to be cooked.
After about a minute we remove your pizza and apply the finishing touches. This is how we ensure you receive a pizza we are proud to serve.
We are Anthony and Jane. It is our belief that the 'Snowies' are the most beautiful place in Australia! We have been lucky enough to call this place our home for the past 25 years. We chose this area for its stunning landscapes, welcoming people, and to fulfil the dream that our children could grow up with snow in their backyard. For everything that this area has given to us, we see it as our mission to add to our community by providing a place where you will always find delicious food, at good prices and where you will always receive service with a smile. This is the philosophy from which ‘Out of Bounds Berridale Pizza’ was born.
‘Out of Bounds Berridale Pizza' is our dream, and we are so happy it’s been such a welcome addition to Berridale. We are passionate about our little village, and the Snowy Mountains in general, and want to provide a place where locals and visitors alike can expect consistency in quality, value, and availability. As the town grows we hope to see many faces, both new and familiar, enjoying our carefully crafted wood-fired pizza. Anthony Green – Out of Bounds Berridale Pizza
"Like many of us who now reside in the beautiful Snowy Mountains, Anthony came to the area some 25 years ago with his family for his love of the snow and skiing. He worked for a time in his dream job as a ski patroller. This career ended when he was injured badly and could no longer continue his duties.
As fate would have it Anthony, as well as being a first-class and sought after painter also had culinary qualifications. When his skiing career came to an end, he followed his first passion and devised a plan to open his own restaurant and thus was born “Out of Bounds” Wood Fire Pizzas, in Berridale.
Anthony is fully supported by his lovely wife Jane, and now it its third year, the business has gone from strength to strength and has become a community favourite.
The past few years have seen the area go through bushfires, flooding and of course Covid-19. Anthony and Out of Bounds have not only survived but thrived to provide a much loved and appreciated service through it all.
